To be honest, I don't even know yet what this blog is going to be about. But there's no possible way for it to be titled Yul Brynner's Noggin and not to start off with an entry regarding Bill Hicks, one of the, if not the best stand up comic I've ever seen. See what I did there? I put him really friggin' high on the list, while at the same time avoided to piss you off (yes, I'm talking to you Richard Pryor and George Carlin nuts).
What still impresses me most about Hicks' work, with him being dead and all that stuff, might be how frequently he or one of his bids pops into my mind when I see, hear or read something nowadays. As was the case when I was watching the NFC and AFC championship games lately. This is what I got treated with during commercial break:
